Alginate oligosaccharide is yellow brown powder, and water-soluble with good stability. whose degree of polymerization is lower than 20, was produced by the degradation of algin, using different methods(acid degradation, enzymatic degradation, and oxidation degradation).
Alginate oligosaccharide is a linear polysaccharide consisting of α-L-guluronate (G) and β-D-mannuronate (M). According to the arrangement of these residues, three products, which are homopolymer (polyguluronate, PG ), ( polymannuronate, PM) and heteropolymer (a mixed sequence of these residues, PMG) are supplied.
