200 21 day old weaned piglets were randomly divided into two groups: the control group of 100 piglets and the experimental group of 100 piglets (the experimental group was divided into four groups of 25 piglets). The experimental period was 20 days, and the diet of the experimental group was supplemented with 0.03%, 0.05%, 0.07%, and 0.1% chitosan, respectively. Compared with the control group, the average daily weight gain of the four experimental groups increased by 14.2%, 31.4%, 42.7%, and 40.5%, respectively, and the average daily feed intake increased by 15.9%, 29.2%, 36.7%, and 36.0%, respectively. The weight to weight ratio decreased by 0, 4.5%, 7.1%, and 5.2%, respectively.
